Waterfront Operations Building




	This project was designed for the activities of the Special Boat Unit 12 and Special Warfare Center. Special Boat Unit 12 is the operational unit and SPECWARCEN performs the training function. The objective of the project provided a Boat Storage Facility for both of these units. The boats are Rubber Inflatable Boats or RIBs and High Speed Boats (HSBs). These boats are used to transport the SEALS on their missions. SBU-12 in effect acts as a "taxi service" for the SEALS. In addition to storage of the boats, there is a requirement to store various parts and equipment related to the boats in Sea Bee boxes, which are large steel containers. These boxes are stored with the boats.
