SNAC Renovation, 7th Floor

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

Los Angeles, California

The SNAC project includes the renovation of 58 patient rooms and the adjacent service areas of an existing Hospital into a Skilled Nursing Facility. The SNAC unit provides the physical training and patient care necessary for patients to resume their active lives after a serious injury or surgery. The total project area is approximately 29,000 square feet. The goal of the project is to provide a quality environment for both the patients and staff utilizing the Patient Focused Care model of bedside admitting. Included in the project is the conversion of 6 existing patient rooms into a dining and activity area, renovation of the nurse's stations, modifications to the patient room lighting and ceilings, and the addition of a physical rehabilitation area. Many of the patients are elderly, and have severe physical limitations. Special interior textures, lighting, and finishes were used to make the environment more patient-friendly.
