Giant Panda Complex

 San Diego Zoo, California 

A new 14,000 square foot, 4 million dollar combination exhibition and research station.  The facility will be used for the housing, observation and propagation of the rare and endangered Giant Panda.  The project includes a 12,000 square foot combination office/conference/animal quarters with a separate 700 square foot nursery building, two exhibits, two holding areas, two hillside exercise yards and a 1200 square foot Interpretive Center.  The associated exhibit space and viewing structure are integrated into a common garden area.
