As
the
design
leader
at
Architects/Larson/Carpenter,
Neil
Larson's
commitment
is
to
design
solutions
evolving
from
each
project's
planned
use,
rather
than
imposing
a
preconceived
design
concept
for
its
own
sake.
His
daily
responsibilities
cover:

Professional
Experience
Neil
was
licensed
in
1969
and
has
over
30
years
of
architectural
experience.
Prior
to
forming
Architects/
Larson/Carpenter,
Neil
Larson
was
Vice
President
and
Partner
with
Deems/Lewis
&
Partners,
another
major
San
Diego
architectural
firm.
During
a
tenure
of
over
a
decade,
he
worked
on
many
notable
San
Diego
landmarks
and
planning
projects.
Professional
Leadership
Early
in
his
career,
Neil
began
a
lifelong
dedication
to
his
profession
through
his
work
for
the
American
Institute
of
Architects,
including
local
Chapter
President,
Vice
President
and
Board
Member
as
well
as
State
level
Council
Member
and
Board
of
Directors.
He
has
also
served
the
San
Diego
Architectural
Foundation
as
Board
Member
and
President.
Education
A
graduate
of
Arizona
State
University's
School
of
Architecture,
Neil
is
a
California
State
licensed
architect
and
has
been
a
guest
lecturer
at
Miramar
College
and
the
University
of
California,
San
Diego.
Personal
Interests
Neil's
remaining
time
is
divided
among
his
family,
and
continuing
duties
as
the
former
Trustee's
Chairman
of
the
First
United
Methodist
Church,
theatre,
symphony,
opera,
photography,
hiking
and traveling.
