Architects Mosher Drew Watson Ferguson and Architects | Larson | Carpente

SAN DIEGO , CA -- Architects Mosher Drew Watson Ferguson is pleased to announce that Architects/Larson/ Carpenter have joined forces with Architects Mosher Drew Watson Ferguson to pursue combined interests with expanded staff resources.  The entire professional staff of Architects/ Larson/Carpenter has physically relocated to the Mosher Drew Offices at 4206 West Point Loma Boulevard,including Partners Neil Larson and Jack Carpenter.

   According to President Larry Hoeksema, “This is a perfect match of professional philosophies, experience and skills.  Architects MDWF has significant experience in educational design while A/L/C has extensive experience in health care design”.   Both firms have a long history of military design work but combined they now have experience in all areas of Navy/Marine Corps. Design.  

  Springing from a long time association between the firms having done work with each other for over 10 years, the relationship was further cemented when Larry Hoeksema of MDWF and Jack Carpenter of A/L/C were past board members and succeeding Presidents of the San Diego Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

  Both firms have significant projects underway including educational facilities on three college campuses, health care at two medical centers, four military design projects, three Church projects plus several projects for Coronado Unified School District, the Zoological Society and the Golden Door Resort and Spa.

   What a legacy.  The firm is now the oldest established architectural firm in San Diego having been established in 1948 by Robert Mosher and Roy Drew in the La Jolla Green Dragon Colony.  Architects/Larson/Carpenter established their own firm in 1984 having been partners for 10 years at Deems Lewis and Partners.  Larry Hoeksema and Don Leonard are the senior principals of Architects MDWF having joined the firm in 1979 and 1980 respectively.

  Over the years the firms have done significant projects at:  San Diego State University, Point Loma Nazarene University, University of California San Diego, University of San Diego, Catholic Diocese of San Diego, Scripps Green Hospital, The Golden Door, Children’s Hospital, Salvation Army, Girl Scouts, Grossmont College, Mission Valley YMCA, Magdalena Ecke YMCA, San Diego Public Library - Florence Riford Library Center in La Jolla, Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, San Diego Zoological Society and the US Navy and Marine Corp.
